Top Internet Business 2011 – The Good, The Bad, And The Beautiful

Given the collapse of the domestic and foreign markets and the stagnant rate at which they seem to be recovering, many people around the world are turning to the Internet to supplement or replace their incomes by joining a top Internet business or what’s known as a top-tier home business franchise. What is a top Internet business anyways? Below you’ll find a discussion based on my experience in the home business/franchise arena and things to look for when choosing a system that fits your personality, lifestyle and beliefs.

What Do We Want?

More money! Let’s not beat around the bush. The traditional workplace is disappointing to the large majority of the population. You rarely hear someone say, “I love my job” as they eagerly wake up at 7A.M. on a Monday. In fact most people are resigned about their job, boss, and lifestyle in general. Most people point their fingers, for some reason believing if they complain, kick and scream from the rooftops about their situation that it will magically change. It seems that most people are holding out to win the lottery to really change their circumstances. Here’s a tip – Don’t hold your breath. This is where a top Internet business model comes into place.

I will do my best to keep this objective and not promote my own business model, but I can’t say it won’t creep in here just a little because of course I believe I have the best one and so does everyone else out there or they wouldn’t be in it.

After much research, trials, and tribulations I’ve come up with some traps that I believe people fall into and here is my advice on how to avoid them.

Is That All There is?

Money cannot be your only motivation! You read that right. If you’re only motivation is turn a profit, my guess is, you’ll fail. Why? If you’ve ever been involved in sales you know that the person on the other end can always tell whether your motivation is to sell them something because you really believe it will make their life better, easier, or more fulfilling or if you are just hungry to make a buck. If it’s the latter, people tend to be repulsed and run from this type of salesman (or woman).

Instead I urge you to find a business model that promotes really helping and making a difference for people. Not only will you make money, but you’ll feel good knowing that your product or service is making a difference in the quality of life of those that are acquiring it form you. If you must have a single motivation, might I recommend freedom rather than money and promoting this freedom and how you intend to achieve it while helping others.

Let Your Moral Compass Be Your Guide

What does that mean? It means everyone has a belief system. In my humble opinion, everyone has a valid opinion, valid for them, but there are no absolute truths when it comes to what is right and wrong for people as a whole.

When it comes to choosing a company, I strongly urge to jump on calls with the leadership body in the company. See if the conversations they are having align with your moral beliefs, what you are wanting to create, and if you could see yourself growing as a person with the company.

Any company that doesn’t have you look at how you can personally grow from the experience is a waste of time. To be successful in a top internet business you must become a leader and for most people this means dealing with all the things that keep them from seeing themselves as a leader in their lives. People follow leaders, they don’t follow followers.

Automated Responses

This is major. Do you have a leader you can connect with in the company and how easily? The last thing you want is to send an email to a burning question you have and receive a response in 48 hours. That’s a lot of wasted time and the answer may be simple or help you avoid certain failures that you don’t need to experience by using someone else’s experience as your guide.

Make sure you can find a successful person in the company easily so you can copy their system and hence guarantee your success by doing what they do. You want to be a successful leader, do what a successful leader does.

Train Me Good Sir, Then Market Me Good Sir

A top Internet business offers training. Not just one time training, but ongoing, powerful, difference making type training. They don’t throw you out into the world and expect you to learn to walk without guidance. Pretty much any MLM system I ever experienced gives no training at all. You are lucky if you can connect with a leader and see how they run their business. What’s the point of having a Ferrari list of products if you don’t know what to do with them or how to market them?

Any business will fail if not marketed properly. If your plan is to annoy your family and friends till they all say no and then they don’t want to talk to you about anything anymore, I wish you Good luck. When that’s over, what’s your plan moving forward?

Final Thought

In conclusion a top Internet business can be your best friend, offer you flexibility, freedom, and a true passion for your job. Most people will look at compensation plans, dollar signs, and short-term success giving up being happy, fulfilled, peaceful and long-term success for a few quick dollars. Any business will reward you if you can work it properly, so concentrate on something you can see yourself making it work or the compensation plan won’t really make a difference anyways.

A top Internet business can give you everything you’ve ever wanted, you just need to make sure “the feel” of it fits with you. My guide has always been my intuition and I find when I go against it I’m always sorry. Follow these guidelines and it will assure you success, well-being, and the life you know you deserve.
